Customer Reviews
Awesome Mahjong Sets!
I was looking for a new Riichi Mahjong set and Yellow Mountain Imports had such a great selection! I snagged the "Tournament Riichi Mahjong Set" and it's fantastic quality for the price. My only tiny quibble is I wish the free shipping threshold was a little lower than $75, but I'll definitely be back for a Xiangqi set soon! I'll tell all my friends!
Great Mahjong set, quick delivery!
I was looking for a new Chinese Mahjong set after my old one from The Chess Store started showing its age. Found Yellow Mountain Imports and decided to give them a try. The set is beautiful and feels really high quality, especially for the price. Shipping was surprisingly fast, arrived in about 3 days! My only tiny gripe is I had a discount code but forgot to enter it at checkout, and once the order was placed, it couldn't be added. Still, very happy with my purchase overall. 😄
Another great Mahjong purchase
My new "Where the Winds Blow" Mahjong tile set arrived quickly, just like my previous orders. I always appreciate how easy it is to find what I need on their site, though I wish the product descriptions were a little clearer about whether pushers are included with all sets. Still, their free shipping always kicks in at a reasonable threshold.
Got a great Shogi set!
Hey, just wanted to say I got a Shogi set from these guys and it's awesome. The pieces feel nice and the board is good quality. Everything arrived super quick too, like in 3 days. Was easy to find what I wanted on their site. Definitely happy with it.
Loved my new Go set!
I received my Go set from Yellow Mountain Imports and I absolutely love it! The Go stones are so smooth and perfectly weighted, and the board is just beautiful. It was packaged really well, and everything arrived in perfect condition. I played a game right away and the experience was fantastic. I'm so glad I chose them for my first good quality set!
Good Mahjong Set, Slow Shipping
I ordered an American Mahjong set from Yellow Mountain Imports a few weeks ago. The quality of the tiles and pushers was very good for the price; everything felt sturdy and well-made. I also appreciated that it came with a nice carrying case. However, shipping took longer than expected, about 8 business days to reach me in California, which was a bit frustrating as I was hoping to use it for a game night sooner. The website said 3-5 days, so it was a small discrepancy. Customer service was polite when I inquired, but couldn't really speed things up. Overall, a solid product, but they could improve on their shipping estimates and speed.
Reliable as always
I've ordered from Yellow Mountain Imports several times now, and they're consistently good. My latest purchase was a Riichi Mahjong set, and it arrived quickly and was exactly as described. Just like my previous American Mahjong set, the quality is top-notch. I keep coming back because I know I'll get what I expect.
Solid set, slow shipping
I finally decided to get a proper Go set and ordered the one with the bamboo board and stone bowls. The quality of the board and stones is really impressive for the price, definitely met my expectations there. However, shipping took a little longer than I anticipated, about 8 business days to get to me, which felt a bit slow. The tracking wasn't super detailed either. Overall, I'm happy with the product itself, but the delivery experience could use a slight improvement.
Decent value for a first-time buyer
As a first-time buyer, I was looking for a decent deal on a Backgammon set. I found Yellow Mountain Imports through a quick search and saw they had a clearance section. I picked up a set there, and with free shipping over $75, it felt like a pretty good saving. The quality for what I paid was definitely acceptable; it's not a luxury set, but it's sturdy and perfectly functional. The overall experience was smooth, and I felt I got good value for my money without any surprises.
Good chess set
Needed a new chess set for game night. Ordered one here, a wooden one. It got to me in about 4 days, which was fine. Everything looked good, felt solid. Played a few games already. It's a nice set, no complaints.
Chess set arrived quickly
Bought a weighted chess set. It arrived in 4 days. Pieces are good. Board is solid. No issues.

Thinking of ordering a Go set, how long does shipping usually take to California? Trying to get it before next weekend.
Can I use both the newsletter signup discount and get free shipping? Or do those deals not combine?
Hey, anyone know if the mahjong sets come with pushers? Some sites make you buy 'em separately.
Are the Mahjong sets here actual good quality or just cheap knock-offs? Seen some really bad ones out there.
